“Change” is the only thing that could take you to unexplored horizons and new worlds that you have always dreamed of. Winston Churchill puts it this way,
“There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction”.
Before any change could take place, it is important that one realizes that something in his or her life should be improved up on. And what direction they are to take.
It may be losing a few pounds, kicking a bad habit, more successful in your relationships, getting better grades, being a better human being, gaining more knowledge in your line of work, etc.
The 3 basic steps in changing things are:
1.Taking your life in your hands or in other words, taking responsibility for your current situation or condition.
2.Noticing the condition that one wants or needs to change. (Such as losing few pounds or giving up a bad habit, etc.)
3.Then immediately taking the necessary steps to changing the condition.
The power that comes with writing is magical. So one could actually write down the things that have to be changed in their life and could also add “why” they want to change, in the first place.
If one maintains a notebook or a diary, he or she could jot down in plain English about what it is they want to change.
What you put in, you get that out. So by this new change in the old pattern will start to give you new results.
According to what one puts in, so shall he or she get them out. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.
Musicians, sport stars, actors – All of them practice daily and rehearse daily. That’s how they got the change. Change in their skill level, change in their attitude and change in their life.
That’s how they changed in to capable beings doing unbelievable things in their respective callings.
As said before, just write down the changes you want on a card or a notebook. You can put one card on a nightstand, so that you could see it the last thing before you go to sleep and the first thing in the morning.
Then, carry another card with you around. Write the changes you want/need down in the present tense:
If you want to buy a new car, write “I have a new car”
Or if your target body weight is 140 pounds, your card would read something like “I am now 140 pounds”
Just review your card from time to time to remind yourself.
Be the change you want to be!
